ABOUT SUE CARTER
Hi. My name is Sue Carter. I have been married to a great guy for 35 years. We have 3 grown children, 2 grandchildren and 10 foreign exchange students around the world. We live outside of Thompson ND but have lived in Fargo, northern MN, Springfield MO and Sioux City Iowa. My children were born in 3 different states. I am a pharmacist and work in pharmacy informatics. I've been at Altru Hospital for 28 years. I've been selling Pampered Chef for 3 years. I love Jesus and Coffee. We have 3 dogs and 2 cats. I love skiing and crafting, making cards and scrapbooking. I make my own jam, apple sauce and can tomatoes. We would rather stay home and cook together than go out. I love when my kids are around my table. I love planting flowers in the spring. I have a mixed marriage, my husband went to UND and I went to NDSU, Go Bison!! I grew up on a farm near Hannaford ND.

In this engaging session, our expert speaker will guide you through the art of having successful, respectful dialogues aimed at achieving mutual understanding.
You’ll learn practical strategies on how to initiate difficult conversations, stay engaged without escalating conflict, and use key communication skills to foster trust and connection. Walk away with tools that will not only help you manage tough conversations in the moment but also strengthen your relationships in the long run.

ABOUT EMILY HOLTH
Emily Holth is the founder and owner of Sustainable Solution Services. Her roles include mediation, coaching, facilitation. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of North Dakota, and she received her Mediation training from the Conflict Resolution Center at UND.
Before founding Sustainable Solution Services, Emily was a Conflict Managment Consultant for the UND Conflict Resolution Center (CRC). During her time at the CRC, Emily developed coursed including Essential Skills for Meaningful Supervision, and Dysfunction to Development: A Team Approach. She gained experience in mediating both family and organizational conflict, working with team development with several businesses, and has offered coaching and professional development to several professional clients throughout the Midwest region.
Prior to her work at the CRC, Emily was with Wells Fargo Bank for thirteen years. While at Wells Fargo, Emily served as a Learning and Development Consultant, where she trained and facilitated many different banker and manager courses in both traditional classroom and virtual classroom settings. Her facilitating and training experience is varied in many different aspects of the corporate financial industry, including professional development, management skills, and conflict resolution. She also served as District Service Manager, where she provided coaching and support, including conflict resolution training and coaching to fourteen different banking stores throughout North Dakota and Western Minnesota.
Since founding Sustainable Solution Services, Emily has worked with clients in several industries, including but not limited to healthcare, retail, banking, and nonprofits. She also works regularly with both higher education and k12 education institutions. Emily regularly volunteers with local nonprofits and serves as the Chair of the Advisory Board for the University of North Dakota College of Arts and Sciences. She lives in Grand Forks, ND with her husband and three daughters.
